Looking forward...

I was sitting on a plane to New Orleans to celebrate Doug’s 40th recently when it hit me: I was stressed, anxious, and not enjoying my amazing life.

How is that possible? Truth be told, I’d been feeling that way for several months. How could I be going somewhere so fun with the person I love most and not be beaming with excitement?

I realized in that moment, that I had to get down to business figuring out what was amiss and how to fix it.

I thought a lot about this. Like, A LOT.

What’s clear to me now, is that I’m doing WAY too much. I’m wearing a lot of hats- from buying, researching and tracking inventory, to staff management, scheduling, merchandising and marketing. Then, add in copywriting and content creation for social media.

On top of all that, I’m also a service provider in my business.

I like to show up BIG. And, bring you the BEST — that’s just me!

But...whew, friends. All these years later, it’s taken a toll on me- physically and mentally. Burnout is real.

I want to show up for you (and my team) 100%, not half way. That’s NOT me.

I'm caught on a hamster wheel of my own making. I made some mistakes. I learned a lot about solving the problems we all face: fear, lack of confidence, not enough time, the balance that is taking care of yourself while building a life (& business) you love.

Here’s what I know for sure: In order to reach my bigger picture goals, I need to make a change.

First, let me share what my bigger picture goals are:

1.) Turn COPAL (my online beauty + wellness store) into a brick and mortar location(s).

2.) Transition the JFB brand into my consulting business where I will continue to empower women- in health, clean beauty, and in business.

3.) Work on my business, not in it.

Okay, I know that last one gets a little tricky. So, let’s talk about it, okay?

Truthfully, I LOVE doing brows. I love the relationship I have with you. The thing is, I can’t give you 100% while working on the rest....and that JUST doesn’t feel right to me.

With that in mind, I made the difficult decision to step away from providing services at my Madison location as of May 1st 2019.

I will take some time to refocus, hire a qualified manager to run the store and outline my future plans to keep growing and delivering #betterbeauty to YOU.

There’s good news:

I have an exceptional team of service providers and I’m confident they will take good care of you. My brow rock stars have been upping brow games for over 10 years. They’re more than qualified to take over in this department and in spreading the clean beauty mission locally.

I DO want to keep showing up for you. Now, with a much bigger picture in mind. My mission is to help you be healthy, beautiful and happy. The thing is, I can’t do that if I’m not leading by my own example.

Will you support me on this journey? I sure hope so! You truly mean so much to me.

I always love hearing from you. Don’t ever hesitate to reach out.

With so much love and gratitude,

Xo,

Jennie
